Altez Vacations makes Siesta Key trip a relaxing getaway
Oh my gosh, it's been so long since my fingers hit the keyboard y'all, but alas, here I am sharing all about our family getaway to Siesta Key courtesy of Altez Vacations. I can honestly say they have by far the best customer service I have seen when it comes to travel and hotel accommodations.
Last year on our last minute trip to Siesta Key, which you can read about here, I wanted so badly to stay in one of the rental homes under Altez Vacations but they were fully booked. I ended up following along with them on their Instagram page in order to keep up with their homes and to see beautiful clear water photos! As it came time to plan our summer trip, I reached out to Sean and Denise Altice to see if I could snag a stay before everyone started booking. As luck would have it, we landed a week stay during our ten year anniversary in June!!!
If you have never had the pleasure of traveling to Siesta Key Florida let me just describe it to you as this, BREATHTAKING! Before we ever visited, friends had told us that it was "like Hawaii but within driving distance". I had been to Hawaii so I was a bit skeptical, yet the moment my feet touched that powdery white sand I was lost in tranquility. The water truly is clear and warm.
The best part about visiting Siesta Key beach is the ability to feel like you have space to enjoy the scenery without being on top of other people. The sky seems as if it hovers above and is coated with the puffiest clouds. It's a vision that is best left to see for yourself.
For this trip we chose The Banyan House- A Tropical Retreat, and tropical it was! With lush greenery covering every inch of the backyard and pool area, you couldn't help feeling like you were on an island. This house hosts three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cozy living room, serene sitting room and dining area that overlooks the enclosed sun-room. If you must work while on vacation, the house also includes a spacious office with all windows to take in every ounce of the garden views. Each room as its own personality and the house can sleep six people comfortably.
One of the best pieces of advice I can give to families traveling is, choose a vacation home! It allows you to cook and prep most of your meals during the stay. The amount we saved on eating at the house allowed us to do little adventures while we took in the town of Siesta Key Florida. Altez Vacations hosts amazing concierge services that I would highly recommend as well. The option I loved was the Pantry Stuffers, in which the staff will take your grocery list, that you input, shop for it and put it away in the house prior to your arrival!! This blew my mind. Who wants to grocery shop once they have been traveling for hours with kids?! NOT ME.
This home was only a five minute drive from the hub of Siesta Key which includes some of our favorite restaurants like The Hub and The Summer House and plenty of fun tourist shops. You are also close to Sarasota if you wanted to visit places like Mote Marine Laboratory, Ringling Museum, or the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
We loved our stay so much that we decided we will definitely be back for another visit next year. We highly recommend you check out all the locations by Altez Vacations including Siesta Key Florida, Sarasota Florida, Pasadena California, Palm Springs California and a cozy cabin in Smoky Mountains North Carolina. I have already asked Ryan for a visit to the Smoky Mountains to watch the leaves change this fall!!!
