Life doesn't have to be glamorous to be beautiful

There are days when I wake up and want to live the life of the girls on the magazine covers. I want to be as cool as the latest You Tubers and be photographed in all the exotic locales around the world like the top travel bloggers. I want the grass on the other side of the fence. Is that too much honesty this soon into the blog? Before you run for the hills thinking I'm an ungrateful woman, let me finish.

I wake up to my warm cup of coffee and the hustle and bustle of 7 a.m.- on a school day- with four kids and realize, there are people who want my side of the fence as well. The moments I feel like my life is less than glamorous, are filled with so many more moments of being ridiculously beautiful.

Listening to my daughters sweet little voice as she creates her own tiny world of make believe, or being there for every moment of my youngest son learning how to walk; those are the moments I live for. Getting the chance to be there for my oldest boys to wake up each morning and like clockwork, come downstairs to give me a hug and say "How did you sleep?" will never be taken for granted.

Sure I am a housewife and stay at home mom, but there is so much beauty in those things. I know all to well that so many women are not granted the ability to do either or have either. I am also very aware at how quickly it all can be taken away. So even if life is simple, let it be simply beautiful.

My life does not have to be glamorous for it to be magnificent. My home, my kids, my marriage, my day to day life should only reflect the beauty that is created from purely living in the moment. If only I could remember this more, maybe I wouldn't be looking over my fence so much.
